i was woken up by the fire alarm entirely too early today, and spent most of the morning idling on the sidewalk in the sprinkling rain waiting to be able to go back to bed. some dumb bitch in our dorm left a towel on a space heater and her room caught fire. no one got hurt and the only thing damaged was their room, but damn. this is why we have to tuck all our appliances away for health and safety. because some people are dumb and don't understand how to use things... |

so i have a really good friend who just moved to japan, and he called me as soon as I was out of class today, which was like 2 in the morning in Osaka. He asked me what I was doing for my birthday, and I said I didn't really know yet. He told me he was thinking of getting me something special as a present. Tickets to go visit. Between him and his dad, who travels a lot for work, they have a shitload of frequent flyer miles, so it wouldn't cost that much, and I could stay with him, and some of his father's business associates in Tokyo, who I've had dinner with here before. I was kinda excited, thinking it would be at the end of the school year or something. No. He wanted to do it on my birthday. Now that would be cool, but I've got things to do here, classes to go to and stuff. I don't think I'd be able to go for more than a weekend and that would just be ridiculous. I wouldn't even have time to get over the jet lag while I'm there.
Ryu is a crazy bitch, but that's why I love him :p |

only six more days before i'm out of school, only two of which i have to actually go to school, and only two more actual classes left, and i don't think i've ever been so happy to see a semester end in my life. four finals down and only one to go, so i don't even have a crazy weekend of work the last weekend like normal.
we might not get to do d&d this week but at least i won't have to do homework! ^.^
now if only i didn't have to get up at 7 both school days... |

He'd managed to hide himself away, knowing he'd be more use to his comrades and their cause here than inside of the Logos labs, or even quite possibly dead. As soon as the security personnel had cleared the building he'd worked on salvaging everything he could from the wreckage of their systems, managing to fix one of the displays, and the broadcasting equipment, which he had immediately used to radio the team, recalling them to base. ) |
